Recently, the Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics – Modesto team welcomed 23 high school students from a local Career Technical Education (CTE) program for a behind-the-scenes look at life in a dental practice. These students are part of a multi-year program designed to help them explore career paths and prepare for life after high school.

During their visit, students gained an inside look at what a career in dentistry entails day-to-day. They observed how our clinical and administrative teams work together, followed workflows, and learned about the education and skills required for different roles in healthcare. It was a hands-on experience that helped bring their classroom learning to life.

A huge thank you to our Kids Care team members who made the day such a success: Celena Hernandez, Denisse Corro, Stacy Rosario, Margarita Barragan, and Anastasia Reid. Their expertise and willingness to share their own career journeys created a welcoming space where students felt comfortable asking questions and engaging in honest conversations.

By the next morning, it was clear the visit had made an impact on the students. The students’ teacher shared the next day that the bus ride back to school was filled with conversations about dentistry, and that interest in the field grew from zero students to five who now want to pursue a dental career. Moments like this highlight the impact that mentorship and hands-on learning have on young minds.

Kids Care Dental is proud to support CTE programs that empower students to explore career paths and build confidence in their future. Opening our doors to students is one way we invest in our community and help inspire the next generation of dental professionals.
