What’s the deal with Invisalign®?
Invisalign® treatment is custom dental alignment provided only by specially trained and licensed dental professionals. At Kids Care, all of our orthodontists are Invisalign certified – woohoo! Invisalign treatment is a comfortable and efficient alternative to traditional wire braces.
Invisalign aligners are almost invisible — other people may not even notice them! They can be easily removed for eating, drinking and brushing with no restrictions (did someone say popcorn?). There are no metal brackets or wires that could break or cause pain, potentially sending you to your doctor for an emergency visit.
How does it work?
We’ll create a series of flexible plastic aligners, specially designed for you, that apply pressure to specific parts of the mouth to move the teeth over time. The aligners are custom fitted by our team of rock star orthodontist and we’ll be with you every step of the way!
Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics uses the iTero Element Scanner, which was created specifically for Invisalign treatment. This digital scanner creates an image of your child’s teeth in just minutes – with no goop! The iTerro is highly accurate, reducing the need for redoing images and creating a very close fit for your Invisalign aligners. We will use the images created with the iTero to monitor progress at every appointment, and even simulate the final result!
What is the cost?
For most patients, the cost of Invisalign aligners is similar to the cost of braces. And just like braces you have several payment options including insurance, health savings accounts, and payment plans.
Most dental insurance plans cover Invisalign treatment the same way they cover braces. Your insurance may pay for a certain percentage of your Invisalign treatment, or it may pay for a certain dollar amount.

Is my kiddo old enough for Invisalign treatment?
Yes! If your child has been referred to orthodontic treatment, they may be a candidate for Invisalign treatment. We also offer Invisalign phase 1 treatments, which can start in children as early as age 7.
Is my child’s case too complex for Invisalign treatment?
Invisalign treatment is appropriate for almost all teeth-straightening and bite issues. Your Kids Care orthodontist can help you determine the best choice for you.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment time is based on your custom treatment plan. On average, Invisalign treatment time is 12 to 18 months, which is a standard timeline for most orthodontic treatment.
What can my child eat while wearing Invisalign aligners?
Everything! Your child can remove their Invisalin aligners to eat and drink as normal, with no food restrictions. Just remember to brush and floss before you put them back on!
